| Located in western Racine County, the unincorporated community of Wind Lake sits in the township of Norway. With an estimated 2005 population of 7,991, the Wind Lake area is home to many individuals who work in Milwaukee and the surrounding area, but love the beauty, quietness and family atmosphere of rural living. This area consists of much open farmland, as well as three lakes: Wind, Waubeesee & Long Lakes. Most students are a part of the Muskego-Norway School District, with some in the southern and western parts of the township attending Waterford schools. Although there is little shopping in the township, Southridge Mall in Milwaukee is just 20-25 minutes away. Muskego (immediately to the north) also has a variety of shopping areas. |
