| With a population of about 6,000, Mukwonago is strategically located where I-43 and Highway 83 meet, just 30-35 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. A rapidly growing municipality, Mukwonago has a number of beautiful parks, a growing industrial park and a developing shopping area that is drawing from miles around. Home Depot and Tractor Supply Company have recently opened stores in Mukwonago, joining the new Wal-Mart Supercenter. Medically, there are facilities from both the Aurora Health Group and the Pro-Health Centers. The village circles Phantom Lake, which provides opportunity for enjoyment for area fishermen. Four elementary schools and one middle school funnel students into Mukwonago High School, whose football team won the state championship in 2004. |
